Research units
The research units are laboratories supervised by the University. Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University is home to 16 units to which our professors are assigned. These units include the joint research units (UMR), which have several supervisory bodies (other universities, schools, research bodies, etc.), including the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
Within these units, research is developed on a disciplinary basis (planning, law, geography, management, economics, history, languages, literature, philosophy, and information and communication sciences) or on an interdisciplinary basis, addressing cross-disciplinary themes or historical periods.
